Meet the adventurous duoEpic’s Amanda Seyfried isn’t the only one in her household with acting chops.
Her Australian Shepherd, Finn, is getting ready for his first film, she told Ellen DeGeneres during an interview on Thursday.
“I got him cast in his first movie," Seyfried said. "I can't really talk about his character, but it's going to shoot in September. I'm really excited about it. He's really excited about it."
The proud stage mom admitted that DeGeneres was right when she described her relationship with Finn as “borderline.”
"Oh yeah, I know," Seyfried confessed. "He's with me right now. He's actually backstage. I really can't go many places without him."
The talk show host showed some of Seyfried’s photos of her and her pup from her own Twitter feed on the big screen behind them, and presented the actress with a gift: A larger-than-life framed photo of Seyfried and Finn by a roaring fire that the actress had tweeted as a joke.
We've loved seeing all the touching tributes to the city of Boston since the Marathon attack last month, and here's yet another to warm our hearts: Kevin Spacey's new puppy.
The House of Cards actor tweeted a photo over the weekend of his new little lady, adopted from the North Shore Animal League. "New member of my family. Her name is Boston in honor of the city," he added.
Spacey flew to Boston after the bombings to visit and pose for photos with doctors, nurses and the first responders who helped at the finish line. "Real heroes," he wrote.
Soon, Boston the puppy will join Spacey's other dog, Mini, who he said is "15 & still acting like a puppy. Be a week or so before she can meet Boston. I'm definitely in dog heaven!"
Not long before Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard welcomed their baby girl, the actress tweeted a photo of her fur baby, Lola, curled up with her bare belly.
“Eavesdropping,” she captioned the picture.
Lola might have really gotten some inside information! Bell announced the arrival of her first child, Lincoln Bell Shepard, the next day.
It wasn’t the first time the little Corgi mix had used Bell’s baby bump as a pillow. In January she shared another picture of Lola snuggling with her belly. And earlier in her pregnancy, Bell posted pictures of the couple’s other rescue dog, Shakey, making a comfortable resting spot out of the Veronica Mars actress’s pregnancy pillow.
So congratulations to Kristen and Dax — and, of course, to Lincoln’s proud siblings.
With her Academy Award-winning movie Les Miserables coming out on DVD tomorrow, star Amanda Seyfried is kicking back — with her dog.
“He’s dreaming on me,” the actress tweeted on Monday, along with a picture of her BFF, Finn, curled up with her.
Earlier last week, Seyfried tweeted another photo of the pup running, and revealed that Finn has his own Twitter handle: @finn_seyfried.
There, his cover photo is a still from the movie All Dogs Go to Heaven 2, and he refers to Seyfried as “Mother” in his tweets.
We’re pretty sure Finn has picked up more than a few new followers!
What you see here, folks, is an epic battle that's sure to go down in history. Just remember, you saw it here first.
On the right, of course, we have the always adorable Tardar Sauce, better known as Grumpy Cat. She apparently flew first class to SXSW, according to Cele|bitchy, and has gained legions of new fans, including The Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder, who posted his picture with Tard to Instagram with the caption, "Me and my new love..."
But let's be real. As lovey dovey as the two appear to be, you know they were both vying to be the cutest face in Austin. Which one would get your vote? We have to admit, it's a tough call to make!

What does a 9-year-old Best Actress nominee carry to the Oscars?
If you’re Quvenzhané Wallis, the answer would be one of your puppy purses!
Nominated for her role as Hushpuppy in Beasts of the Southern Wild, the young actress spoke with Ellen DeGeneres earlier this month about her canine-inspired accessories.
“That’s my signature!” she told the host. And “Yes, of course” she’d be carrying one of the 20 pup purses in her collection on Oscar night in Hollywood.
She sported a sequined version for her appearance on Ellen, where she also talked about her real-live pets: a Yorkie and a German Shepherd.
We’ll be tuning in to the red carpet coverage on Sunday to see if she’s carrying the much larger version that Ellen provided her with, packed with items to help the youngest Best Actress nominee ever avoid boredom during the lengthy ceremony.
It’s a big week for actress Debra Messing.
As the second season of her show Smash hits the airwaves, she’s got something new and exciting keeping her busy at home too — a sweet gray puppy named Henry.
Messing tweeted a photo of herself holding Henry in a car, writing, “LOVIN' on our new puppy:) Say hi to Henry!”
Messing plays writer Julia Houston on Smash, which airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
Fans of the MTV reality adventure show Road Rules will remember Mark Long, a cast member from the series’ first season in 1996. Well, the former reality star is putting his fame to good use — to help stop animal cruelty.
The television personality and host teamed up with philanthropic T-shirt website teelp.com to design and sell a T-shirt that supports the ASPCA.
“I have had a Dapple Dachshund for 13 years, and I love him like a son. It was a no-brainer for me that I wanted to support ASPCA. I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, mice, rabbits, lizards, fish and birds,” says Long.
The black T-shirt comes in a men’s and women’s version, and has the slogan: “Be their voice. Stop animal cruelty.” With every shirt purchase, an $8 donation will be made to the ASPCA.
We get it. When you’re a celebrity, sometimes you just want a little me time.
Beast, the Puli owned by Facebook cofounder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, posted this picture on his fan page with the caption, “Just trying to blend in.”
The pooch definitely stood out in the crowd last year, when he made headlines by walking down the aisle with Chan during her surprise wedding to Zuckerberg.
And with 1.3 million Facebook fans, it’s hard not to be spotted!
We're only three days out from the big game, and everyone is wondering which team will prevail in the battle of the Harbaugh brothers. Experienced sportscasters and respected statisticians are all weighing in, but we only care about one prediction: that of Jimmy Fallon's adorable Golden Retriever puppies.
